Golden rule #1,
Never, ever put verb 2, 3, or s/es right after "to".

There's no such thing as "to saw" (except if you mean to CUT something), "to went", "to seen" etc.

You'll find "to + V-ing", but it is not a verb. It's gerund.

Golden rule #2,

Never, ever put any kind of verb other than verb 1 after ANY form of modals. So, there's no such thing like "cannot repliED" in English.

@steavan,

I'm not picking on you. I just want your English to be better.
So, keep on posting.

Review last movie you've seen ==> Present perfect
Review last movie you saw ==> Past tense

The second is the correct one, bro.

I'm not as good as bro roderick in grammar, nor i can explain exactly why, but i think it's more natural to say either "Review the last movie(s) you saw" or "Review the movie(s) you've see".
Using the word "last movie" indicate that it happened recently and we are emphasizing that particular time frame --> thus past tense is used.
Bro roderick, CMIIW pls...

what is the right phrase?
It's up to you as long as you separate the subject 'arrival' from the person Mr....

Just a sugestion,

Guest who arrivED today was Mr...

or

Guest arrivING (adjective phrase, i.e 'who has arrived') today is Mr...

Any other opinion?

I'm not an Englishman bro, so it's likely for me to make mistakes.

AFAIK, 'The last movie you've seen' is more acceptable because there's no emphasize on the time WHEN you saw the movie.

Just my two cents...

AFAIK, past tense is used when people want to emphasize when something was done, that's why often adverb is used to specify the time.
However, past perfect tense is used to emphasize that something has been done. When it was done, it's out of interest. That's why we never put adverb in past perfect tense.

AFAIK, the word "last" as used in "last movie" acts as an adverb.
Thus, IMO, it's more natural to say "Review the last movie you saw" instead of "Review the last movie you've seen".

Again, just my two cents too...  :grining:

you know .. 3 o'clock friday is a special hour.  Jesus was in deep agony at that time as this is the hour of Jesus' death.

If possible, bro and sis,..spend a moment during that time and try to understand what Jesus has had at that time, the feeling of being left alone, being tortured and facing the death!.

As often as you hear the clock strike the third hour immerse yourself completely in My mercy, adoring and glorifying it, invoke its omnipotence for the whole world, and particularly for poor sinners, for at that moment mercy was opened wide for every soul.  (sister Faustina - Devine Mercy).

Ask JESUS at that time to forgive you and to forgive your family and others for at that moment mercy was opened wide for every soul.

What's the English for the reply "Ya sudah..."?

That depends on what you really mean.

If I say "ya sudah" because I don't care anymore, I'd say "whatever" or "so be it".
But if I meant "i have done it", I'd say "I have".

But if we use Inem's style, then "ya sudah" will become: "yes after"...

How about these 'ya sudah?'

"Kamu kan gak bilang sebelumnya? Ya sudah (kalo begitu)."
"Dia kan gak tau kalo ini bukan salahnya. Ya sudah (jangan diperpanjang)."
"Lu gak bawa duit lagi? Ya sudah (gue aja yang bayar)."
"Gak mau yang ini? Ya sudah (terserah)."

Some Indonesian phrases are quite flexible indeed.

I think, that is a normal thing. In every language, something like that was happened.
I mean, the meaning of a phrase or word depend to many things, maybe to timing, or topic, or the others.
